- Bonjour mi amie. I am mademoiselle Maupin. I was a famous French Opera singer in my time. I am known for my beautiful contralto voice. People gossip about me saying that I have a very wild and flamboyant life. Before I was an Opera singer I fought duels against young aristocrats, and dressed up in mens clothing and sang for my living. I have had many many love affairs with men and women, resulting in many many bad affairs with the law. Everything I do I do with passion and love. Au revoir my lovely friends.

ReplyDeleteMlle. Maupin, although I have never seen you act, sing, or sword fight, I can tell that you are fabulous at all three. How do I know this? Well you would not have gotten to perform in such wonderful theaters and in front of such wonderful people if you were not the best there is. I found your interview very fascinating and found many similarities to my own life which I have mentioned to you before. As an artist myself, I find your talents to some of the best that a performer could have. I hope that in the near future we may meet and you will be able to share your talents with me.

Guten tag. I have not had the pleasure to hear you sing or compose an opera for you but i would very much like to. Being a well known and like opera singer you must have been fantastic and i find the things you have done in your life interesting. Auf Wiedersehen.
